Hershey, PA Named Top 10 for Family Travel

Family Hotel in Hershey

Hersheypark

Trip Advisor just confirmed what we here at Westwynd Farm have known for a long time. Hershey is one of the most wonderful family destinations around. The guests at our Hershey inn have been enjoying all the area has to offer for many years and now the experts at Tripadvisor.com rank it #7 on the list of the Top 10 Amusement Parks & Boardwalks in the United States with this to say:

“What’s not to like about a town that owes its existence to chocolate? Hersheypark offers rides for all ages. Visit Hershey’s Chocolate World for a virtual tour of the Hershey factory.  And families visiting Hershey also enjoy easy day trips to Amish Country and Gettysburg. “

A few perennial favorites of the guests AND staff of our Hershey B&B are the Zoo America North American Wildlife Park (I love the pairie dogs!), and the Hershey Gardens Butterfly House. You feel so special when one ever so gently lands on you.

Some of the other numerous family friendly activities within 5 minutes of Hershey include Indian Echo Caverns, The Middletown-Hummelstown Railroad , The Antique Auto Museum and Adventure Sports. Our grandkids dream of beating Pap, a former race car driver, in the Go -Carts… and they are getting faster!

While our Inn in Hummelstown, PA is designed for the comfort of adults, we accept children over age 5 and Frank delights in having helpers for the morning horse feeding. If you are planning a trip to The Inn at Westwynd Farm, The Carriage House is particularly well suited for families, but the summer months are filling very fast.

Even if you’re not staying with us we are always happy to answer any questions you might have about the Sweetest Place on Earth.
