Inn at Westwynd Farm: A Serene Country Getaway
By Ruth Seitz
My breakfast was served in the lower
patio facing the Inn's beautiful pond. I couldn't have
asked for a more perfect view. The sound of cascading
water serenaded me as I enjoyed Caroline's fresh
vegetable frittata seasoned with basil.
Such touches of beauty and comfort
make a stay at the Inn at Westwynd Farm a travelers'
delight. A mere three miles from Hersheypark, this Bed &
Breakfast is a country haven, tucked in the middle of a
32-acre horse farm. This home away from home is
memorable as an exquisite setting for enjoyment. Besides
the patio, there are several other places to relax upon
return from shopping and sightseeing. Enjoy refreshments
- a glass of wine or a cup of coffee - on the wraparound
porch. And do it in your own time. Return early or
lounge late to enjoy the quiet, and watch the horses
graze in the pasture. Let owners Frank or Carolyn
Troxell show you the stable in the 1858 bank barn where
20+ horses board. Spend a night (or two!) in one of the
Inn's seven cozy rooms, and then enjoy a breakfast
inspired by the fresh produce available at a local farm
- as well as late afternoon ice cream under the seasonal
spell of the rear gardens.
