If you’re looking for a quiet thrill during your stay at The Inn at Westwynd Farm in Hershey, nothing can match the light touch of a graceful butterfly as it lands ever so softly on your shoulder. It’s almost magical.
Zebra Long Wing
We make sure our summer doesn’t end without a visit to the Butterfly House at Hershey Gardens, and we’re always sure to take a camera and usually a curious child. At its peak in mid–summer, the Butterfly House will be home to close to 400 or so of these colorful creatures, representing 25 North American species.
Spice Bush Swallowtail Butterfly
The Butterfly House provides nectar plants for food, and host plants for egg-laying and caterpillar feeding. The entire remarkable life-cycle of the butterfly will unfold before your eyes, and knowledgeable guides are there to answer all your questions.
Banded Orange Helicon
The Butterfly House is open from 9-5 each day until Sept. 11th. We suggest going in late morning when it’s warm enough for the butterflies to be active, but not too hot. Admission is included with your ticket to the gardens.
We hope you have the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful spot during your visit to our Hershey Bed and Breakfast!
