Bacon Jam Recipe From Chef Dan

This unique recipe is another original from our wonderful Chef Dan! Delight your family and friends this winter with a tasty bacon-lover’s dream.


  • 1 large onion cubed
  • 1/2 pound bacon sliced and crisped (oil and fat discarded)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of thick or extremely reduced balsamic vinegar


  • Add all ingredients (except balsamic vinegar) to saucepan and cook on high until onions are translucent
  • When removed from the heat add
  • Add balsamic vinegar
  • Stir all together and serve over toast or however you would like
