Here is just a sampling of the dining experiences available in and near Hershey. When you arrive we will be happy to go over our extensive menu book with you and also make reservations. With advanced planning, we can also make arrangements for dinner with an Amish family about 35 minutes from the farm (more information below).

Although part of a national chain, we really like it here. Nice atmosphere and interesting menu. Very easy to get to from the farm. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations.

Still casual - wear your slacks and khakis and a collared shirt. There is also a step up in price and menu. Reservations definitely suggested for weekends.

A Rare Central Pennsylvania Experience - Dinner With An Amish Family
With a little advanced planning, we can usually schedule a family style dinner with an old order Amish family in their home. There is a fixed menu. The food is simple, traditional, all fresh and …Oh! So good! Henry and Rebecca are gracious and hospitable and truly love serving visitors. You can pay what you please. We generally suggest $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12.

If you don't mind a 20-25 minute drive, there is a very wide variety of truly excellent gourmet restaurants in the city of Harrisburg. We'll be happy to give you even more suggestions.

North American Wildlife Park is an 11-acre walk-through zoo that displays living plants and animals from five regions of North America.

Home to Hershey Bears Hockey and Concerts - Be sure to check their schedule for Concerts, Special Events and Hockey – The most popular pop groups, Ringling Brothers Circus, Ice Shows  are just a few of the recent attractions.

Hershey Gardens
The garden is known for their incredible collection of roses but the children’s garden, perennial and annual beds are also wonderful.

Hershey Theatre
For Concerts and Live Theater – We suggest checking their schedule. From road companies of Broadway shows to concerts and classic films, there’s something happening most of the time.

Milton Hershey School and Founders Hal
One of Milton Hershey’s enduring legacies. If your schedule permits, a trip to Founders Hall is definitely time well spent.

Indian Echo Caverns
Both Adults and Kids love the caverns. The cave tour is fun and educational and there is a variety of other things to do and see. Be sure to get the money saving coupon at this site.

Middletown-Hummelstown Railroad
Enjoy an 11 mile ride in vintage railroad coaches while learning about the history of the area. There’s a railroad song sing-along on the way home. Check the site for special events.

Adventure Sports
Just plain fun! We love the race cars, miniature golf and the water guns on the bumper boasts.

Penn National Race Track

Enjoy the excitement and beauty of thoroughbred racing. Or try your luck at the brand new Hollywood casino.

A beautiful new museum that’s fun for the whole family.

Visit the Army War College or spend the day antiquing. The quaint town of Carlisle has a lot to offer.

Tour a bologna factory or enjoy a true country fair.

Wonderful summer concerts and theater in the round. This little village is favorite of ours.

For the Grownups – Wineries, Golf and Casinos

Wineries
Create your own off the beaten track excursion and visit the wineries of Central PA. We suggest stopping first At West Hanover, a very tiny winery just 4 miles from the Farm. The friendly owner loves what he creates and is happy to tell you about it. Depending on your time frame the next closest vineyard is Nissley about 25 to 30 minutes from the farm. Their Chambourcin is a favorite of ours.  From there you can head to Naylor and Mason Dixon across the Susquehanna River in York County a delightful drive for quite delightful wines

Continue your tour through the Amish Countryside of Lancaster County with stops at Lancaster County and Twin Brooks wineries.
You’ll find The Pennsylvania Wines site http://www.pennsylvaniawine.com is also very helpful in planning your visits. Did you know Pennsylvania is the 4 largest grape producer in the US and has the 5th highest number of wineries?

Golf
Looking for a few hours of fun and challenge. The region offers some suberb courses very close to the farm.
