Retreats & Off-Site Meetings
If you’re looking for a different venue but one that really understands your needs Westwynd maybe the ideal answer. With 30 plus years of experience as vice president/director marketing for a major bank and service as an officer on several non–profit boards, Carolyn knows that the ambiance and attention to the smallest detail can make all the difference in your meeting’s effectiveness.

The inn offers several spaces for group meetings and general discussions as well as ample space for break out groups. The grounds provide lovely opportunity's for long walks and reflection.

The inn is fully set up for WIFI and also offers a dedicated guest computer and printer, copier, fax machine. We can accommodate up to 24 over night guests. Any of our rooms with king sized beds are easily converted to two twins.

Breakfast is served at whatever time you wish. An early start is no problem. Breaks through out the day and other meals can be provided — of course with menus designed for the tastes and preferences of you and your group.

After your family is comfortably settled in their rooms, everyone can enjoy a favorite beverage and a freshly baked treat on one the porches or patios or in colder weather sit by one of our fireplaces.

The Alpaca, Paco and Taco are usually grazing in the east pasture and Carolyn will be happy to give you some feed for them. It's a short walk to the barn to meet the horses, goats, Ivy and Leah, the cats, usually about 8 of the friendliest barn cats on the planet and Pete and Polly the yellow labs.

Freshen up for dinner. We can give you lots of suggestions for interesting local restaurants. Return to the Inn for peace & quiet or a board game, puzzle or DVD. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

Day 1 - Action at Hersheypark
Breakfast is at what time your family chooses and the coffee is always ready for early risers. Really early risers might want to help Frank feed the animals.
Hersheypark is for kids of all ages - enjoy all the fun and excitement from the antique carousel to the water rides. There are 10 thrilling roller coasters plus lots of rides for less adventuresome, too. Be sure catch the wonderful musical shows and don't miss the Dolphins.

Day 2 - Smell the Chocolate
Tour Chocolate World and the Factory Works. Don't miss the 3D show. Be sure to take the trolley ride around town and learn more about the Sweetest Place on Earth. The Hershey Museum, Zoo America and the Hershey Gardens and the Antique Auto Museum are also must sees. Still not tired - visit Indian Echo Caverns then ride the antique Middletown - Hummelstown Railroad. Our family just loves miniature golf and the race cars at Adventure Sports. Many family restaurants for dinner to end your day.

Day 3 - Your Choice of Adventures!
Tour Lancaster County and the Amish farmland. Stop by a farm stand and enjoy a buggy ride. Kids especially like the Strasburg Antique Railroad and the PA Rail Road Museum. Enjoy the presentations at Sight and Sound Theater and American Music Theater. Then choose a beautiful Amish quilt or craft as a memento of your trip. We can even arrange for dinner with an Amish family!
- OR -
Travel to Gettysburg and take a special guided tour of the Battlefield on horseback. Harrisburg is another choice with museums, restaurants, riverboat and carriage rides... even minor league baseball.

PS: What About Winter?
Plan to take in a show or concert at the Hershey Theatre, Giant Center or Whitaker Center. We'll be happy to help you plan a very special trip, no matter what time of year your travels bring here. There's also a lot to be said for curling up by a fire and doing just nothing -- Well maybe getting one more cookie.

Planning a Family Reunion or special celebration can be challenging. We do our best to make the accommodation piece as easy as possible. Several first floor rooms meet the needs of older folks and we’re happy to add cots to our larger rooms for families with children. Also, any of our rooms with king sized beds are easily converted to two twins.

Breakfast and afternoon refreshments are included, and with advanced planning other meals can be arranged.
