THE CHRISTMAS TREE SHIP

A ship, a storm, and a heroic Christmas tale. This new, heart-warming musical is based on the true story of Herman Schuenemann, also known as Captain Santa, who goes down with his ship on a storm in Lake Michigan – leaving behind a widow, their daughters, the family shipping business, and Herman’s mission to give away thousands of Christmas trees to those in need in Chicago. Can she accomplish these seemingly overwhelming tasks? This inspiring tale reminds us of the importance of kindness and the joy of Christmas.
