There are lots of private places on the property to get away from it all and ample space to roam and explore. In addition, we have a collection of board games, puzzles, and DVDs available for our guests that want to have some fun staying in! It’s the perfect peaceful getaway for leaving life behind for a while and resting in the serene Pennsylvania countryside.
Adventure in the Great Outdoors
Have some fun in the sun and breathe in the fresh air! There are outdoor activities galore here in Hershey and we highly recommend taking advantage of the area’s lovely weather as you are planning your itinerary. The nearby Swatara Creek is a designated scenic waterway and a wonderful place to bird watch as well as kayak. Even eagles are frequently seen, so keep an eye out! Cocoa Kayaks, in particular, is a fantastic company and we recommend them for any excursions out on the water. Rent a kayak from them and enjoy a 10% discount as one of our lodging guests. For hiking, the Horse Shoe Trail is less than a mile from the Inn and is a beautiful trail that follows the Manada Creek, winding its way through forests and farmland. You can also explore our favorite rails-to-trails areas like Conewago and Lebanon Valley Trail for a fun ride on two wheels! Horseback riding is another fun activity. Though we don’t offer riding at the farm, trail riding is available at Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown, just 25 minutes from the inn, and is a great way to tour the Gettysburg Battlefield.
